HANDS (Helping Address the Needs of Dudley’s Seniors)
founded in the Fall of 2008, is a grassroots nonprofit organization comprised of residents, employees and business owners in Dudley who have come together for one sole purpose - to help ease the financial hardship of Dudley’s seniors. HANDS’ MISSION STATEMENT HANDS’ mission is to help alleviate the financial strain of senior citizens living in Dudley through financial assistance and/or personal outreach to those in need of such, in regards to heating and/or electricity. HANDS is raising funds through private donations by individuals, organizations, businesses, schools and special interest groups wishing to make a positive impact right here in their own community. Over 95% of the funds raised goes directly to financially assisting those seniors in Dudley seeking and qualifying for such assistance. Our goal is to be able to provide one full tank of heating oil (275 gallons), or the equivalent for electric, per heating season to each qualifying applicant. |
